Originality and Plagiarism Policy

Journal of Economics and Allied Research (JEAR), is committed to maintaining high ethical standards in our published articles. All submitted manuscripts undergo plagiarism checks to ensure originality. Authors whose papers fail these checks will face desk-rejection and a two-year submission ban.

Guidelines for Authors:

  • Original Research: Authors must submit original work. If they use others' research, it should be appropriately quoted, and proper references should be provided.
  • Reference Practices: Citations must be included for all publications that contributed to the article's development.
  • Prohibited Practices:
    • Submitting work by other scholars as one’s own.
    • Copying phrases or sentences word-for-word without proper quotation marks or citations.
    • Slightly modifying copied material (e.g., rephrased sentences or changes in word order) without proper attribution.
    • Using others' ideas without proper citation.

Authors must also reference their previously published works. If the article’s similarity index exceeds 20%, it will be returned to the author with a report. The Editorial Board reserves the right to reject any manuscript containing unreferenced borrowed material and may retract any published work found to have violated these standards following a plagiarism complaint.
